following your dream (?)

As we grow older, we rarely get to hear the words ‘follow your dream’ anymore. Those words flew like mere rhetorical phrase which everybody would answer ‘yea, right’. It seems obnoxious to see hollywood selling movies about dream, about being a super star in vegas, being a basket ball star out of nowhere and a great boxer from a crack-coccaine family, ‘yea right, your dream, not mine’.

It is sometimes hard to believe that dreams do come true, because what, in the past 19, 20 years of our lives, we hardly see it come true. Instead of following a great pathway to success, an epic journey, life is nothing but a series of just another day. We remember the days when they are so boring you can drain yourself out, we remember the days where you failed so bad that you want to quit trying. Well, to be fair, there are days where you win, where you’re happy, but you know it will last soon enough, and another drama will occur.

To be frank, life, is nothing like a story, its more to like dragging ur ass passing days till it ends, and you dont know whats next. Everybody knows, we’re all going to die anyway, B O R I N G.

Well, probably, we think life is boring and sad, it is because we only wait. We only wait for the twist, for a prince charming to show up in front of you. We wait until we win a lottery, we wait until we got super powers and save the world. What we dont realize, when we wait, we miss everything that is great and evolving around us. 

We miss the smiles the bus driver gave to us when we stepped on the bus, we missed the blossoming flowers in the park, we miss the sun, and we miss the love that is caressing us all around. We miss the classes that we attend, we miss the opportunities our jobs offer us to grow and develop to be a better person, we miss the moments we can learn to speak another language, get to know new people, and we miss the time to fall in love…

Dont wait.
